Kassik’s Spiced Cream Ale Review

Kassik’s Brewery of Kenai, Alaska makes a Spiced Cream Ale for Christmas.

Spiced Cream ale pours rich amber with light lacy white foam. The aroma is a strong ginger, nutmeg, cloves, malts. The taste begins with creamy malts and ginger burn, followed by spices and nuttiness. It’s ginger from start to finish. It’s drier, and not as  sweet, as I imagined it would be. There’s little finish or aftertaste. It just stops. My tasting elf and I didn’t pick up much cream, but some vanilla. The flavor profile is that of Ohio Christmas beers like Great Lakes Brewing’s Christmas Ale. It’s 5% ABV.

Enjoy!

While it's difficult to picture Santa as a young man, he was once. He met the future Mrs. Claus one snowy night when she offered him a winter ale that she brewed herself. It was love at first sight - for both the Mrs. and her winter ales. With Santa's growing fame, his favorite brews became named after his favorite day - Christmas. Santa now travels the world each year to spread the joy that began in a stable in Bethlehem two millennia ago.
